Christmas has Arrived
It's official. Christmas is nearly here. How do I know, you may ask? Well, if the large stock of eggnog, the crazed shoppers and the plethora of programs and concerts aren’t enough for you, this annual indication should surely convince you. Earlier this week two commercials made their regular holiday appearance on my television. Yes, my friends, the Chia Pet and the Clapper are still around and ready to bring cheer to all your favorite friends and family members. Don’t miss out on this holiday classic!
Christmas is Right Around the Corner!
Snow covers in the ground (at least back home!), Christmas carols sing their merry tunes, and holiday lights illuminate the evenings. Yes, my friends, it truly is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Especially since the annual Blevins’ holiday debacle has begun…
I look forward to a future year when the family’s holiday plans just fall into place… Offers of hosting the family gathering a year in advance will be accepted with relish, as others will appreciate being relieved of such stress. Details set in the summer months will stand firm. There will be no last minute change of plans that send the entire family into an uproar. And my darling husband will not stress over the mixed signals and halted communications of his beloved family. After all, what should the holidays remind us of? To be thankful for time spent together, to cherish times of peace and harmony, and to celebrate that special child sent to the world for us.
Ah, I do love the holiday season…families and all!
Books - One of My Many Loves
Lately is seems as if every time I pick up my mobile the public library is calling to let me know the next book in my queue is ready for pick up. Because titles and authors regularly peak my interest, I am constantly requesting books from the library. Despite my best efforts to keep up with the flood of books, they just keep coming! Not only am I contending with the library, but I also have a stack of borrowed and purchased books waiting for me in my nightstand. For a glimpse of my current selections, check out the stack below. And, yes, I even multitask when it comes to reading books. There are just too many quality selections out there!
